Check Your Roof for Moss
Our homes are all 5 to 6 years old now and have a good build up of moss. Believe it or not you can have moss on your roof even if there are no trees nearby. Preserve and extend the life of your roof by spraying with moss treatment or hiring a company to come and do it for you.
With just a little bit of work...
The weather is beginning to cooperate a little and it is the perfect time to do some yard work. With just a little effort your yard can look great.
-fill in those bald spots with a little topsoil and sun/shade mix grass seed
-pull those weeds...some of them have seeds that when let loose will spread everywhere, not just in your yard. Be a great neighbor and yank those out.
-add bark or dark topsoil to your flower beds for a tidy look (check out the Makous home to see what some fresh bark can do for your yard).
-plan out your lawn care, either do it yourself or call a local lawn care specialist. Banish that clover and moss for good.
-most of all, have some fun talking with your neighbors while you are out getting some FRESH air.
Yard Care Requirements
Reminder: as per association rules, no homeowner shall allow the lawn or landscaping to die or deteriorate. Each owner shall be responsible for the maintenance, and repair of the entire yard and irrigation system (if applicable), including (without limitation) the requirements for fertilizers, re-planting, weed control and all other aspects of landscaping care and maintenance of their unit.
To keep up to association standard please:
-Water regularly, it is very stressful to your lawn to let it dry out, it will develop bald spots which will then fill in with weeds or moss.
-Fertilize to rid your lawn of spreading weeds such as clover. These weeds if not controled can spread to neighboring lawns and dandilions if left to go to seed will spread far and wide.
